We had a fabulous time at The Music Hall seeing the Piggie and Elephant show.  The children were excited to recognize that we have read many of the books by Mo Willems.

Also, we had an author and an illustrator visit the school to talk about their ideas and creative thought process behind the books.  It was very interesting to hear them talk about the craft of writing and drawing.

Math:

We played some addition games and have continued to work on tricky teens.  We also have be working on persevering when things are thought provoking.  We talked about how important it is to be able to communicate your math thinking and to be able to subitize.  When you kids are working with dice see if they can recognize the dot pattern rather than counting each time especially if they are adding 2 dice.
